Bunka Sai – Japanese festival taking place this Sunday in London to mark one year anniversary of earthquake & tusnami

This Sunday (11th March) in London there will be a Japanese festival entitled “Bunka Sai” taking place to mark the one year anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami. The festival will include traditional Japanese dancing, music, Taiko drumming, a martial arts demonstration and more.

The event is being organised by the Aid For Japan charity that was set up to suport children orphaned by the tsunami last year until the age of 20. There will be a one minute silence taking place at 2.46pm.

Proceedings will begin at 9.30am on Sunday with a full timetable of events taking place until 4.30pm available for viewing HERE. Tickets are £5.00 (students £4, free to children under the age of 11) and can be purchased HERE on the on the door.

[NOTE – For people who purchase advance tickets, we will not issue physical tickets. Instead, as soon as you make your purchase, we will be able to record your name. Please bring some form of identification with your name on it on the day.]
