Over the last week a fair amount of news has come to light for forthcoming anime releases. At the MCM Manchester Expo last weekend, Manga Entertainment’s Jerome Mazandarani hosted a panel where he confirmed the new licences and release dates.
First of all the new licenses are:
Production IG’s Guilty Crown, set for release on both DVD & Blu-Ray
Fractale will be released on DVD on December 10th
Aria The Scarlet Ammo
Forthcoming release dates now confirmed are:
The World God Only Knows on October 1st
Blue Exorcist Part 2 on October 22nd
Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike on December 3rd
Gintama: The Movie on DVD on December 24th
The first box set of Persona 4 The Animation on DVD & Blu-Ray on December 24th
The first of the new Berserk movies will also see a December 24th release date.
A few days later via their twitter account, it was also confirmed that season 4 of Hetalia: World Series will be released on DVD in December.
The MCM Manchester Expo is this weekend and it promises to be another busy Saturday packed with bargains and interesting content for those attending. MCM Expo have published the entire show guide that can be viewed HERE.

When it comes to the floor plan, the anime distributors are split into two sections. The first along the main Expo Boulevard that is conveniently along the same walk as the entrance to the show floor. You’ll find Manga UK, MVM and Kaze UK along this section.
You will also find a second Manga UK stand (likely to be their SALE stall that they have had previous expos) in walking distance from the NEO magazine stand very close MCM Theatre A.

While official confirmation of where things stand with the distributor following the news back in January (read our previous news item HERE for more info) has yet to be revealed, Beez Entertainment took to twitter yesterday (May 9th) revealing that they will have a presence at the upcoming MCM London Expo from May 25th-27th.
Beez will be selling selected titles from their catalogue on the Kaze UK stand.
“Sorry for the delay folks – we’ll send something out officially asap – we’ll also be at MCM Expo selling at the [Kaze UK] stand select titles.”

Manga Entertainment UK have just made it known on their twitter account that at the forthcoming Birmingham MCM Expo – taking place at the Birmingham NEC between March 31st & April 1st – on March 31st they will be making half a dozen new 2012 acquisition announcements.

The MCM Expo has grown tremendously over the last few years. Attendance records have been broken and ticket sales for the expo in London next month have reached new heights! This week the expo will expand into a new field in the form of an online manga strip!
