Following the original announcement back in May (SEE HERE), we’ve just got word from Manga Entertainment’s publicist that the forthcoming release of the Steel Tin DVD/Blu-Ray of Ninja Scroll has been delayed until November 26th from its orignal October 15th release date.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Manga UK has been forced to push back the release date of Ninja Scroll to the 26th November 2012. Manga are delighted to be releasing this anime classic on Blu-ray for the first time and would like to thank fans for their patience and support.

Manga UK to release Ninja Scroll on Blu-Ray later this year

It’s an announcement that was hoping to be officially unveiled at the MCM Expo this weekend, but word has got out early (thanks in part to a listing that appeared on Play.com today) that Manga Entertainment will be releasing the classic movie Ninja Scroll on Blu-Ray in the UK later this year, October 15th to be precise. What’s more is that is will be a UK exclusive limited edition steelbook version.

Manga said on their twitter that the link went up early but they can confirm it’ll be released on October 15th in the UK. For inspired this decision release it on Blu-Ray they said “We want to re-release [one] classic anime movie a year on [Blu-Ray] and inside a ltd ed steelbook. AKIRA sold really well last year.

It will be released as DVD/Blu-Ray combo double pack, however when it comes to the overall presentation Manga UK seem to have special on the cards. They added “We won’t reveal the design until late June. We plan on doing something a bit flash.
